Product Overview

Drill Connex offers DTH Drill Bits from 70mm to 305mm, with a variety of face profiles, shank types, valved or valveless and custom options. Drill Connex offer DTH Bits with a shank structure that matches other manufacturers products.
Drill Connex DTH Bits are made of high-quality alloy steel. These DTH Bit undergo through forging, precision machining and special surface strengthening technology and heat treatment to improve the service life of the bit.

Bit Face Profiles

The Concave Drill Bit design is suitable for most rock formations, and it is most effective in the medium-hard and homogeneous type rock formations. The Concave Face feature helps to reduce borehole deviation and allows excellent drill cuttings flushing from the bit face.

Tungsten Carbide Shape Selection

Spherical (hemispherical) Button

The Spherical button is the most commonly used shape profile with DTH drill bits. It provides excellent penetration in medium, hard and broken formations and is suitable for most types of drilling.

Flat Button

The Flat Tungsten button is used mainly as an additional protection feature on the DTH bit. It is placed on areas where extreme wear occurs to reduce bit body wear in those particular areas.

Ballistic Button

The Ballistic button has a very aggressive profile that protrudes out further than the Spherical buttons. This button has a high penetration rate and high rock breaking efficiency, and it is mostly used in soft to medium rock formations.

Ogive (full Ballistic) Button

The Ogive button has the highest and most aggressive profile. This button has the highest penetration rates and rock breaking efficiency in softer rock formations. In harder formations it is exposed to breaking or snapping.
